Updated on

ScreenSteps is a knowledge management system specifically designed for creating and managing procedure documentation. Companies use ScreenSteps as their knowledge management system to support customers and to support their internal workforce (contractors, employees, temps).

Examples of typical content that customers create in ScreenSteps include:

  • Job Aids
  • Standard Operating Procedures
  • Quick-reference guides
  • Checklists
  • Decision trees
  • Call Flows
  • How-tos

ScreenSteps has built-in tools to create documentation from scratch and also allows you to includevideos,GIFs, ande-Learningexercises that you create in other applications.

Account Access

CIA staff will log into screensteps with their CIA account credentials

If staff have difficulty logging in they should submit a ticket at support.cia.edu

Expand or collapse content Account Admin

Sometimes when setting up Single Sign-on you may accidentally lock yourself out of your account. Don't worry, it happens to the best of us.

Request an email with a link that will log you in one time

If you are an admin on an account then you can request that an email be sent to you with a link that will log you in one time. This allows you to access your ScreenSteps account again and make any needed Single Sign-on configuration changes.

To request this email, you will visit the /login/sso_bypass url for your account. For example, if your account name is CIA then you would visit the following url:

https://cia.screenstepslive.com/login/sso_bypass

The email will contain a link that will log you into your account. Note that the link will expire 5 minutes after it is created.
