Internal Docs

Guests

Updated on

Residents are not to admit anyone into the residence hall that is not their guest.  Residents should meet their guests at the front door of the residence hall and escort them to the door when they leave. This includes students' parents. Guests are expected to observe all Institute and hall rules and regulations.

Residents are responsible for the behavior of their guests. This includes being held responsible through student conduct for any violations of college policy and/or damage done to college property.

Overnight guests are not allowed to stay more than three consecutive nights, with the understanding that it does not constitute an inconvenience for roommates.  An excessive number of repeat visits may cause aggravation to roommates and is not permitted.

If a resident is removed from the residence hall for judicial reasons, he/she is not permitted in the hall for at least one year after his/her removal, even as a guest of one of the current residents.
