CIA Merit Based Scholarships are awarded to incoming new and transfer students who demonstrate academic excellence by a review of grade point average, class rank, test scores; talent and artistic ability as demonstrated through your portfolio. All students who are admitted to the College are automatically considered for a Merit Scholarship. No separate scholarship application is required. CIA Merit Based Scholarships Include:

• CIA Gund Family Scholarships
• CIA Say Yes! Cleveland Scholarship
• CIA Dean’s Scholarship

Scholarship recipients must be enrolled full-time. Graduating students who have been continuously enrolled and are enrolled less than full-time for their final semester will have their CIA aid prorated based upon the hours enrolled. Students not graduating, but enrolled less than full-time, can submit an appeal for a portion of their CIA awards. CIA merit scholarships are renewable provided the student maintains Satisfactory academic progress (SAP).

CIA offers grants to undergraduate students who demonstrate need as calculated from their FAFSA results. The funding sources for these grants vary and can change.

CIA merit aid is available for four years (8 semesters). Students returning after an approved Leave of Absence will have their CIA reinstated, resuming their use of eligible semesters.
