7.1 Ohio Worker's Compensation

Updated on

The Cleveland Institute of Art provides a comprehensive workers’ compensation insurance program at no cost to all employees. This program provides partial pay and covers any injury or illness sustained in the course of employment that requires medical, surgical, or hospital treatment. Subject to applicable legal requirements, workers’ compensation insurance provides benefits after a short waiting period or, if the employee is hospitalized, immediately.

If an employee sustains a work-related injury or illness, the employee should immediately inform their supervisor, no matter how minor it may appear, and complete a written incident report. Contact Human Resources for more information about workers’ compensation.
